Nainoa and The Grey Tooth

It's been crazy at our house. A few days before Thanksgiving Nainoa jumped out of his carseat before before I had a chance to really get a good grip on him and he hit his mouth hard on the car door. He was bleeding a lot and I couldn't think of what to do take him to the ER or the dentist. Well I called his dentist luckily we've been taking him to this awesome pediatric dentist since he was a little over 18 months old for check-ups. They told us to come over as soon as we could. He bit his lip, tore the membrane between the upper gum and upper lip is called the frenulum so that bled a lot. He also bumped his gums pretty hard and had a fat lip. It's amazing how fast mouth injuries heal up. In about two days he was as good as new. His purple bloody upper gum was back to a normal healthy color. No loose teeth, but I noticed this week that his tooth had started to turn a shade of grey. I took him back on Monday and was told his tooth had died and there was nothing they could do about it. It might fall out soon or it might stick around until his permanent tooth comes in. Great now everyone is gonna think it's tooth decay or something. This is one of many events that will be added to Nainoa's scrape book. Anyway if your kid ever hits his/her mouth take them to the dentist not the ER there isn't much they can do there. I didn't take any of the bloody pictures yucky, but here's one with his shiny new grey tooth! Nice huh!?! Ugh! I guess it could have been worse right!?! Nainoa could have been singing, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, My two front teeth, see my two front teeth. Gee, if I could only have my two front teeth,Then I could wish you "Merry Christmas."LMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
