There's no better place to celebrate a birthday than at Disneyland

Today we met up with my friend Cara,Lisa(Cara's sister)and Lisa's kids at Disneyland. It was Cara's birthday and we got together to celebrate! It always nice to hang out with them b/c we always have such a great time! Her sister Lisa is so sweet and so are her kids! Lisa's daughter Audrey was like a little mommy helper keeping Nainoa from getting hurt and running away at times! We met up at California Adventure and made our way to see Crush. Nainoa actually sat the whole time and didn't get up and run around like last time (we had to leave last time). We also got on the Monsters Inc. ride and found a great hands on kind of place for the kids to play with and make some noise. Before you make fun of my pictures I do realized they are crooked. I was wearing the baby in a sling and trying to take a picture at the same time. Not a good idea I know. Kaileo kept trying to grab the camera or attack it with his only two teeth! Before heading over the California Adventure I took Nainoa to the Disneyland Railroad and hopped on a train and went all the way around the park. We sat in the first caboose behind the conductors(engineers or whatever they are called) and could see all the buttons, bells, and whistles. Nainoa loved it when the conductors turned around and waved at him. I was going to save his new overalls I bought him for his birthday, but figured it would be way too hot to wear then. I gave in and let him wear them today! He loved them! I was surprised to learn that the costumes for the conductors are based on 1930's New Orleans police uniforms. Not only that, the trains use regulation whistle signals if you pay attention next time you're at one of the parks:one short toot for attention, two shorts when ready to leave the station, four long toots to indicate train in distress, two long, one short, one long for approching a station, and one long, one short, two longs for leaving a station.Pretty neat!
Three of the five kids playing around and having fun. The other two are still little, but will be joining in on the fun soon!

Poor Kaileo we hardly ever get any good pictures b/c the orange stroller reflects and give him a funny skin tone. He's all smiles here so thought I'd share anyway ignore his orange skin tone LOL!

This stroller picture came out okay compared to most of the ones I've taken!

  3. These are great photos...they don't seem crooked at all! And as far as I know, conductor is in the back & engineer is in the front. :)
