Monkey see & Monkey do 2 little monkeys want to party with you!

So I've been in recovery mode for about 2 weeks now and feel a little better now to finally post some photos of the party. We decided to combine Nainoa and Kaileo's b-day parties b/c 1 it's expensive and two I really didn't want to plan two different parties within a month of each other lol! Nainoa turned 3 June 3rd and Kaileo will be 1 on July 11th, but celebrated on June 20th. We had fun jungle/safari themed goodie bags that I put together, fun jungle/safari music playing, sandwiches, ants on a log (celery with peanut butter and raisins), beetle wings (chips), worms in dirt (chocolate pudding, with crushed oreo cookies, and gummy worms), and yummy cake! My dad and Patti bought the boys the awesome cake from Rockwell's Creative Cakes in Orange. It was really good and so cute! Thanks dad and Patti it turned out great! We also had crafts for the kids to work on and we brought bubbles for the kids to play with. My mom ended up blowing bubbles for the kids! The best part of having this birthday party for the boys was having family and friends to help celebrate the boy's special day with us. Thanks to all that came to the party.

Great grandma and Kai.

Daddy and Nainoa taking a break from all the excitement.

Awesome Birthday cake from Rockwell's Creative Cakes in Orange.

Getting ready to sing Happy Birthday to the boys.

Nainoa digging into his smash cake. It's a good thing we got him his own.

Mommy reading Kaileo's birthday card to him.

Daddy reading Nainoa's birthday card.
Loving the fun birthday cards he got!

Nainoa opening up gifts.

Kaileo wouldn't touch his cake at the party so I decided to take it home. Glad I did b/c he destroyed it!

  2. Oh my goodness, I'm so sad we had to miss it! I totally understand the combined parties, too. My boys' bdays are also a month apart and it just seems too hard to plan for me and such a burden on potential guests since, at this point, they have the same social circle, you know? I can see separating the parties once they're in grade school with different sets of friends--but I'd still feel bad dragging relatives out to 2 parties a month apart!
