The Great Train Show

Jonathan's mom suggested we take Nainoa to the show(Anaheim Convention Center) on Saturday. We thought that would be fun and decided to go. I wasn't going to go b/c I thought this would be a fun thing for Jonathan and Nainoa to do and have some daddy and me time, but I decided to go. This whole train thing all started when we bought Nainoa a train table for his 2nd birthday as I was in search of some non battery operated toys. I can say we def. did well in choosing the train table b/c this started the love of trains, well Thomas the Train anyway! ;) At the show we saw lots of fun train tables set up many old, new, and even some that the kids could play with. I loved the Disneyland monorail track set by schuco they had out (vintage) and they also had a train table that showed what Fullerton used to look like around the old train station. There was a little kiddy train ride and decided to let Nainoa get on, but had to wait 30 minutes b/c right as we were getting in line the guy went on a 30 minute break. Nainoa was so upset and cried for a few minutes saying, "TRAINNNNNNNNN RIDEEEEEEEEEEE!" Ahh music to my ears (not!). We also let Nainoa pick out a new train for his ever growing collection of trains. The Thomas the Train and Friends stuff is so $$$. We bought him Madge I think is the name and it was $17 for a little wooden train. These little toys are $$, but it's fine Kaileo will hopefully play with them too and we'll get our money's worth. I especially like that these toys do not require batteries allowing the kids to use their imagination and manipulate the tracks and building on the train table he has. We had a great time thanks Nana for the suggestion! :)
