The Busy Month of October

October was super busy for us. We did a lot of activities this month and while it was tiring, the boys had a blast. We went to Irvine Park's to ride the train and play around in their pumpkin patch. The boys had fun running through the hay maze (mama not so much. I kept losing one of them). We also took a trip to Tanaka Farm in Irvine. This was our first time there and I have to say this is one of the best field trips we've been on. We rode a wagon that took us to the petting zoo where the kids got to play with goats. Then we went on a tour of the farm and the kids got to pick their own veggies out of the ground! They got to pick four of each vegetable (carrots, green beans, onions, radishes). I really enjoyed the looks on the kids faces whenever they pulled a veggie out of the ground! It was pure joy for the kids everytime they pulled a veggie out. After this we went over to pick out a small pumpkin from the field followed by a run through a corn maze. We hosted a paint a pumpkin playdate and the boys painted their own pumpkin adding googly eyes and stickers. Kaileo loved the craft so much, he didn't want to stop painting his pumpkin! On our next outting we went to Downtown Fullerton where they have a Farmer's Market on Thursdays. On the Thursday we went we met up with the playgroup for some crafts, food, and some trick-or-treating! A week before Halloween our playgroup had a party that had lots of yummy food, games, and treats for everyone. Halloween day we got dressed in our gnomes costumes and went over to Downtown Brea for a Kidz Block Party and boy was it crowded! Next time we are going earlier to avoid the crowds that go to this big event. The nice thing was that my sister-in-law Kendra and her two kids met us at Downtown Brea and took the kids on some slides and trick-or- treating once we got home. It was really nice of them to have come down & spend some time with the boys. They really had a great time with them!
